Too large or too small valve clearance will affect the diesel engine’s gas distribution, compression, power, etc., so the valve clearance needs to be reviewed and adjusted when troubleshooting. The adjustment steps are as follows:
1. First turn the flywheel to the compression position
forward a little to prevent the flywheel from spinning back.
2.Then loosen the cylinder head cover fixing nut and remove the cylinder head cover.
3.Use your hand to shake the rocker arm to check whether the valve clearance meets the requirements. The requirement for large diesel models is 0.35±0.05mm, and the requirement for small diesel models is 0.25±0.05mm.
4. If it does not meet the requirements, you can adjust the valve clearance by rotating the rocker arm adjustment screw left and right until the clearance meets the requirements and then tighten the adjustment nut. Then reinstall it.
